It’s that time of the week again.  Last Thursday night I got caught up in Ryan Dempster’s sabotage of the Cubs rebuilding efforts so this week know that the videos below have been percolating for a while.  I love this batch.  It’s like the batch of cookies the Oracle is baking in The Matrix.  Take a view of these and you’ll feel right as rain…

  • Who doesn’t like Bob Ross?  Between this and the video I posted a few weeks ago of Mr. Rogers, I’ve got to say that the good people at PBS Digital Studios have taken it to the next level.  Public funding well spent in this writer’s opinion.

  • This is really cool.  Below is an interview that Tom Waits gave in 1979 in Australia.  Like him or hate him, he and his music are unique.  The interesting thing here though – in my humble opinion - is that this interview is reportedly what Heath Ledger used for his inspiration for the Joker in The Dark Knight.  I find it fascinating that one of the greatest acting performances of my lifetime was driven by a late night talk show interview.  Watch the video below and tell me it doesn’t remind you of this.

  • For those who don’t think fracking is a bad way to go about accessing natural gas, I would encourage you to go live in Granville Township, PA for a could weeks and enjoy a nice icy glass of tap water while you’re there.
